As part of a school trip I spent 20 hours being taught some spine-tingling subjunctive, other pieces of articulate grammar and some extremely useful oral ideas at ‘La Escuela Tandem.’ On our immediate arrival we received folders outlining our housing and family information and we were picked up within moments by our family. The atmosphere in the car ride up to the school had been very eerie, but this was quashed on arrival due to the friendly and warm atmosphere of the people in the school and the magnificent school building itself. The families were all so welcoming in their own different ways. I was lucky enough to stay in some fantastic accommodation, only 10 minutes away from the school which was ideal.

Mis prácticas fueron realizadas en la empresa Hotel Villa Real en la ciudad de Madrid gracias a la colaboración de la escuela TANDEM Madrid. En efecto, después de haber participado por un mes en un curso de español en la escuela, la coordinadora del programa de prácticas me ayudó a encontrar un puesto de trabajo que fuera conforme a mis intereses. El mes transcurrido en TANDEM fue muy agradable gracias a la amabilidad y disponibilidad del personal.

Con respecto a mis prácticas, el Hotel Villa Real hace parte de una cadena de hoteles, Derby Hotels Collection, con hoteles de lujo en las ciudades de Madrid, Barcelona, Paris y Londres.

Mi trabajo se ha desarrollado en el departamento de Ventas y Marketing en dos diferentes fases por duración total de 8 meses. Durante este período mi trabajo fue supervisado por el key account D. Susana Aguilar y el assistant director of sales D. Andrés Hervás. Read the rest of this entry »
